PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) - Bayon Television's top presenter Sok Somavatey held a wedding reception last week following her marriage to Touch Danara, the son of former Phnom Penh Municipal chief Touch Naroth.
The latest edition of Prochea Prey magazine reported that the reception on November 23 was attended by hundreds of stars and many high-ranking officials.
Sok Somavatey is expected to receive a wedding gift of $200,000 along with a car and a villa, the report said.
"Vatey faces no difficulties with her marriage because the wedding was controled by her husband’s family," a close friend of the presenter told the magazine.
Sok Somavatey's mother reportedly said her daughter was in no rush to have a baby. "She's still young and wants to spend lots of time with her husband," she was quoted as saying. "She also wants to better her career."
